Lynell Williams M.ED, LPC, NCC

Teen, Adult, Couples, & Family Psychotherapist

Phone: 833-HEAL-ATL ext. 5

Lynell is committed to empowering people to heal from past pain, develop awareness, and increase their confidence to foster healing and whole-hearted living. Using a humanistic-centered approach, she gently challenges her clients to overcome limiting beliefs, identify unhelpful patterns, and develop skills to thrive despite life’s unexpected twists and turns. Lynell views therapy as a collaborative process and takes the role of a guide to help her clients reach their individual goals.

In sessions, Lynell intuitively utilizes a warm yet direct approach to explore difficult emotions, past and current experiences, and belief systems. Her first priority with her clients is building a safe and nonjudgmental relationship that supports healing and connection. This space is intentionally created so that they can express vulnerability, take off the strong mask, and ultimately discover the person they were created to be. Her work focuses on meeting her clients where they are while helping them to achieve balance and connection in all areas of their lives. Whether the balance is desired in your relationships, career, or emotions, Lynell will work alongside you to develop specific goals and tailor interventions to help you meet them.

She represents authenticity in all spaces, especially the therapeutic space, and honors this by utilizing her humor, transparency and personality infused with some millennial culture references, of course.

Lynell works with teens, adults, and couples who are motivated for growth and want to move beyond just surviving the ebbs and flows of life. She uses an integrative approach including interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, and emotionally focused therapy. For couples therapy, she adds in emotionally focused couples therapy and Gottman method interventions and skills. Lynell has invaluable experience working with clients from various cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds and can offer an integrated Christian perspective should you desire one.

Lynell recognizes that making the step to start counseling is a big one and is an investment in yourself that is worth the effort. If you are ready to reconnect with who you really are and work towards a restored sense of self, Lynell invites you to contact her as she will be honored to be part of your unique journey.

Outside of being a therapist, Lynell loves finding new skincare products, connecting with friends, catching up on a new tv series or writing for her blog “Get Mindful With Me.”

Authenticity is not something we have or don’t have. It’s a practice — a

conscious choice of how we want to live. Authenticity is actually a collection of

choices, choices that we make everyday. It’s the choice to show up and be real.

The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen.
