Kerri believes that people are inherently valuable, adaptable, and often doing their very best with what they have. Utilizing a person-centered and solution-focused approach, Kerri balances exploring the unique experience of the client with identifying practical tools for empowerment and growth. Her style is collaborative, empathetic, warm, relational, and often fun.
As a neurodivergent person, one of Kerri’s greatest passions is supporting, educating and empowering people with ADHD. Kerri is also passionate about helping clients navigate difficult life transitions, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns, codependency, anxiety, OCD, specific phobias, and depression. Kerri utilizes interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and Exposure and Response Prevention based on client need.
Kerri’s graduate work includes a specialization in rehabilitation counseling, making her a great fit for clients with co-occurring disabilities or chronic illness. Kerri is experienced in connecting to the community resource network and coordinating care to best support each client’s needs. Kerri is LGBTQIA+ affirming and actively works to create a safe and inclusive space for her clients. Kerri also provides a culturally-sensitive approach; centering the beliefs, values, and contextual experience of each client to the therapeutic work.
In her spare time, Kerri enjoys running, cooking, traveling with her spouse, and crocheting.
Kerri operates under the direction of Shayda Nematollahi, MS, LPC and under the clinical supervision of Brittany Hewitt, LPC, CPCS.
