You are inherently worthy, just the way you are. As an adult and teen psychotherapist, Becky gently guides your gaze toward the light of worthiness you have embodied since birth. She empowers you to shape the narrative you tell yourself about who you are and what holds meaning in your life. She nurtures seeds of healing, compassion, creativity, and strength to help you grow and thrive.Becky weaves narrative, expressive arts, and person-centered techniques into her psychotherapy process with warmth and care. She also integrates modalities such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, DBT, Gestalt, internal family systems, and play therapy based on client needs and preferences. Becky meets clients where they are and in whatever form they feel safest, whether that means working with a client’s inner child or present-day self. As a therapist who formerly worked in school-based counseling, Becky is happy to incorporate play, music, art, and writing into sessions, and she particularly enjoys working with neurodivergent, creative, and highly sensitive clients. For clients fond of music and mindfulness, Becky incorporates the Celtic harp or small instruments for guided meditations and somatic resourcing.Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, codependency, complex trauma, chronic illness, life transitions, identity exploration, grief, or any other areas of need, Becky would be honored to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey toward reauthoring and owning your unique story.Becky is a second-generation Cuban American, and is happy to hold sessions in English, Spanish, or Spanglish. She applies a multicultural lens and enjoys working with clients of all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and identities. She is neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Before becoming a therapist, Becky worked as an instructional designer in Silicon Valley. In her spare time, Becky enjoys spending time with her husband and Siberian cat, writing contemporary fiction and indie songs, playing single- and double-strung Celtic harp, singing, and birdwatching. She collects obscure musical instruments, effect pedals, African violets, and cat memes.Becky operates under the direction of Dr. Shayda Nematollahi, LPC and under the clinical supervision of Brittany Hewitt, LPC, CPCS.
