Dr. Shayda cofounded Heal ATL Counseling & Wellness in 2018 with the intention to build a holistically minded, compassionate, and integrative whole person care practice that focuses on mental health and integrative wellness. She sees her role as a therapist as part of a larger collective healing movement—one that helps break cycles, heal intergenerational wounds, and invite wholeness back into our lives and our lineages. Through breath, story, and somatic healing, she offers a space where clients can soften, unravel, grieve, grow, and reconnect with the truth that lives inside them. This isn’t about fixing you. This is about helping you come home to yourself. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Come as you are. She’ll meet you there.
You’ve held so much for so long—your family, your dreams, the weight of expectations, the stories no one sees. Maybe you’re tired of being the strong one. Maybe you’re craving a space where you get to unravel, to feel, to breathe. Being human is messy and layered. Even when you're doing all the right things, it can still feel heavy. At the intersection of mind, body, and soul, you’ll find Dr. Shayda Nematollahi—a holistic psychotherapist and breathwork facilitator offering support that is both clinically grounded and soulfully compassionate. Providing heart-centered care for women navigating the complexities of life. Her work honors the seasons of womanhood: from motherhood to grief, from burnout to breakthrough. Whether you’re untangling generational trauma, navigating a life shift, or simply learning how to rest again, you’re in the right place.Dr. Shayda is a wife, mother, sister, and a first-generation daughter of immigrants who understands that being human is messy and layered. Anxiety. Major transitions. Complicated families and relationships. Grief that shows up in unexpected ways. Even when you're doing all the “right” things, it can still feel heavy. Shayda holds space for that heaviness with presence, compassion, and honesty. As a holistic psychotherapist trained in mind-body medicine and somatic therapies, Dr. Shayda bridges the science of trauma therapy with the soul of holistic care. She integrates Eastern and Western philosophies, offering a humanistic approach tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her work is deeply relational—she doesn’t just nod and take notes—she shows up with you. Clients often describe her as warm, real, and deeply present. They know they matter to her. They know they’ll feel seen, supported, and gently challenged in the best way. *Dr. Shayda requires a a 15-minute phone consultation before booking a first session and she only works with women 18+
