A dedicated student of yoga for more than two decades, Octavia believes yoga is one of the most powerful tools for cultivating resilience, self-awareness, and inner peace. Her practice began during a demanding career in journalism, where yoga became an anchor and haven through stress, uncertainty, and life's many transitions. What started as a physical practice evolved into a lifelong gift of study, healing, and spiritual growth.
Steeped in the Eightfold philosophical path and drawing from Hatha, Kriya, and Yin Yoga, Octavia offers sessions that encourage practitioners to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with themselves. Her facilitation blends mindful movement, breath awareness, and wisdom from traditional yoga practices. She masterfully creates a welcoming space for exploration, restoration, and transformation, and leads deep meditative journeys through conscious sleep, also known as Yoga Nidra.
Octavia has studied extensively in India and has made twelve pilgrimages to Rishikesh, where she teaches and continues to deepen her practice. She holds advanced certifications in all the modalities she offers and has taught thousands of hours in studios around Atlanta. She is a Yoga Alliance Continued Education provider who remains committed to lifelong learning and service.
Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, trauma, or simply seeking greater balance, Octavia holds space for you with compassion and authenticity. She believes healing begins with awareness and yoga offers a pathway back to the wisdom, strength, and peace that already exist within each of us.
