At Heal ATL, our mission extends beyond the therapy room. We believe healing happens not only within individuals but also in the ways we show up for our community. That’s why we partner with organizations whose work creates dignity, access, and care for those who need it most.

The Period Project

Menstrual products are not a luxury β€” they’re a basic need. Yet, too many people in our community struggle to access pads, tampons, and other essentials each month. This lack of access, often called period poverty, can lead to missed school, missed work, and feelings of shame or isolation.

The Period Project is a grassroots movement dedicated to ending period poverty by collecting and distributing menstrual products to those who need them most. Through this initiative, we’re working to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and ensure that everyone has the dignity and resources they deserve. The Period Project distributes individually wrapped menstrual health products to schools, shelters, food pantries, community organizations, etc.  They also include period education cards in partnership with the Period Education Project.

At Heal ATL, we’re proud to support The Period Project by accepting both physical donations of menstrual products and monetary contributions via Venmo (@HealATL). Every donation directly impacts someone’s ability to move through their day with confidence and care.

Together, we can help ensure that no one in our community has to choose between basic needs and dignity.

The HealATL Team is collecting donations from now until October 9th, 2025. We will be creating packs to donate directly to the Atlanta chapter of The Period Project. This will be our 7th year contributing to this cause. You can drop off physical donations to your therapist in the HealATL office or Venmo a donation that will be used to purchase products.
