Will believes that every person has unique strengths and experiences that can be learned from and applied in a counseling setting. Keeping this in mind, Will approaches therapy with an accepting and non‑judging presence to fully understand your experiences. His style is collaborative and warm, and he really enjoys sharing a laugh when it is appropriate. He values building genuine connection in the room and works to create a space where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are.
As a late‑diagnosed AuDHDer, Will loves supporting the growth of neurodivergent clients by providing them a safe space to fully explore themselves and their experiences. He does this by utilizing a client‑centered approach to fully understand the experiences that these clients bring in, and working with them to accept and grow from them. He also enjoys working with people through their anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions. Will is especially passionate about helping clients untangle internalized expectations, understand their patterns, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with their values. Will practices from a client‑centered lens, as he believes that establishing a trusting and safe therapeutic environment is one of the most important aspects in empowering client growth. In addition, Will enjoys using a variety of techniques stemming from parts work, attachment theory, CBT, and motivational interviewing. He integrates these approaches flexibly, tailoring each session to the client’s needs and pacing. Before becoming a therapist, Will worked as an academic support coach for college students, where he learned many valuable lessons that inform his practice as a therapist. Outside of working with clients, Will loves spending quality time with his friends and family, spending time outdoors, going to the gym, watching any Atlanta sports team, or diving deeper into his interests. Will operates under the clinical direction of Dr. Shayda Nematollahi, LPC and under the clinical supervision of Brittany Hewitt, LPC, CPCS.
